What I eat in NYC
Magnolia Bakery
This bakery is actually popular for the cupcakes, the cupcake craze started when Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex and the City filmed a scene for SATC outside Magnolia Bakery eating one of their cupcakes. I also tried one of their cupcake but it was just so so for me. The highlight is definitely their Banana Pudding !! It was creamy, not too sweet just perfect, layers of vanilla wafers, fresh bananas and creamy vanilla pudding.
Don't have the close up picture of the cupcake, so here it is.
Shake Shack
I know this was sooo basic, moreover Shake Shack has just opened in Singapore recently. It's around 2 hours flight from my hometown, but the Singapore's Shake Shack always have long queue, so I never got the chance. That's why, I finally had the chance to try right from where it all began. I chose the regular one and my mom chose the mushroom burger. Both are good, but the mushroom burger I can say is one of the best I have ever tried. It was deep-fried cheese-stuffed portobello mushroom patty and the cheese explodes with every bite, yum!

Juliana or Grimaldi?
This has been quite a debate, the ultimate pizza debate. Even though there's just me and my Mom, we decided to try both since we have came so far. like 20-hours-of-flight, far. My mom likes Juliana's better, she said the aroma was richer and she didn't like the Grimaldi's cheese's smell. As for me, both didn't really strike me but I prefer Grimaldi's since the toppings were juicier but that's my personal preference though.
Juliana's
Grimaldi's
Ess-a-Bagel
They said, try bagels when you're in New York and so I tried one of the best Bagels in NYC, according to numerous webs. I ordered the Signature Favorite, slices of Nova on a Bagel with scallion cream cheese, freshly sliced tomato, Lettuce, onions and capers. It was soo good, they all blend together perfectly. As for the Bagel, I should try the bagel from another store since I couldn't really judge because I don't have any comparison.
Junior's
Cheesecake is a quintessential New York's treat, however, Junior's is one of the name that has been synonymous with New York Cheesecake for over 6 decades. I came here two nights in a row. The first time I tried the original cheesecake. It was good but not that memorable for me
The second night I tried the seasonal menu, pumpkin cheesecake and I really like it! Good mixture between the sweet and tart cheesecake and warm pumpkin
Joe's Pizza
There's a lot of popular Pizza joint in NYC and I managed to try some of them, but Joe's Pizza, I've heard a lot about this place...and yeah, it was so good! It was easily my favorite pizza in NYC, I'm going to grab the 2nd slice if I haven't just had my dinner.
Honestly, I didn't get what's the hype. It's good but that's just it, I also tried the compost cookie and I could say the same about that. If I had the chance to visit NYC again, I'm going to try the crack pie. Nevertheless, If you are in the area, Milk Bar is a definite...well, if you're too curious about it.
